Parkstone Trophy: Bath lose 7-2 to Cheltenham

July 8th 2005

n the away match at Cheltenham the team started brightly with captain Roger Hayes defeating David Magee comfortably. Eugene Chang came very close to victory against Craig Edwards but unfotunately lost by a single point after failing to peg out his front ball. Don Gaunt proved a little too strong for Daniel Mills in the other morning game.

In the afternoon Mills scored a good victory over Edwards, but Chang and Hayes failed to capitalise on their earlier good form and lost to Magee and Gaunt respectively.

The final round of matches saw all 3 Bath players defeated. Mills went down to Magee while Gaunt completed a superb straight triple peel against Chang. Hayes also lost in what proved to be a close encounter with Edwards.

The final score was Cheltenham 7 Bath 2.

Cheltenham (David Magee 0, Don Gaunt -1, Craig Edwards 0.5)

Bath (Roger Hayes 0, Daniel Mills 2.5, Eugene Chang 3)
