GC Central North Team rise up Table

On a wet and chilly day in Bristol which got worse as the day drew on, Bath Central North GC team beat their local rivals, Bristol by 12.5 to 7.5. This win lifted them to 4th place in their division.
A number of the matches were closely fought which led to the six rounds taking a lot longer than normal, the match finishing around 6pm rather than the normal 4pm. Particular mention should be made of Mary Bertin who won both of her singles matches and one of her two doubles matches.
The other team members (Pete Riley, Paul Francis, Lorne Loxterkamp and Norman Connor) acquitted themselves well with nobody winning less than 50% of their games.
The match was played in an extremely friendly manner and Bristol served up an excellent lunch.
