Bath Croquet Win CA Award

We are delighted to be able to say that Bath Croquet Club has been awarded the Apps-Heley Club Award by the Croquet Association.

The CA makes the Club Awards biennially in three categories (1 or 2 lawns, 3 or 4 lawns and five or more lawns) to recognise clubs that have made exceptional progress in providing a good playing environment over the previous two years.

We applied on the basis of the improvement in our lawns in recent years and also the huge efforts made to host the World Team Championships last year.

In making the award the CA stated that “Bath impressed by its increasing strength as a Club, its work on lawn improvement, and its innovative approach to tournament hosting”.

We will be sharing the trophy, which will be presented at the CA AGM in November, with Wrest Park Croquet Club over the next two years with each Club being awarded £250.
