Winning Start to Defence of Federation Title

May 8th 2016

The Bath Federation team got off to a winning start in defence of their 2015 title.
Playing on Kington Langley’s slight slope is always a challenge but Bath got off to a perfect morning with two wins-Folke Pope continuing with his good form in the singles and the doubles team of Hester Henebury and Paul Francis winning from a losing position.
With just one more win needed in the afternoon, at one stage, it looked like Bath might complete a clean sweep but Francis and Pope let good positions slip. It was left to Hester Henebury to secure Bath’s victory and complete a good day for her.
