GC North Team beaten at Weston

The GC North Team started the day reasonably well. Norman Connor and Tony Curson combined to beat the top WSM pairing 7-2 in the first doubles match. The same Weston pair were beaten by Mary Bertin and Tony Curson 7-4 in the next round to keep the match all square. The singles went Westons way and the score at lunch was 6-4 to Weston. With one round of five singles matches to complete Bath needed to win all five to draw the match.Unfortunately they could only win three of these and the final score was 12-8 to Weston. Mary Bertin and Miriam Bolger each won two out of four of their singles matches and the team was completed by Nigel Dawson Cocks.
