GC Level Team Open Season

The clubs GC Level team opened their season with a home match against Weston-Super-Mare on Thursday 8th June. After the first round of matches WSM took a 3-1 lead and this differential remained for the rest of the match with the four subsequent rounds all being shared 2-2. Sally Helvey and Neil Pinker made their debuts for the level play team with both winning one of their singles matches against lower handicap players. The visitors made good use of their two zero handicap players, who won 7 singles and two doubles. This gave WSM a win 11-9. The Bath team was completed by Ian Morrison, Pete Miles, Bob Hart and Tony Curson who all contributed to the teams final score.
